Terms of use
These terms apply to the editr website, the web editor and the iPad app. By creating an account you agree to them.
1. What editr is
editr is a photo editor. You upload photos, edit them without changing the original, and export the result. The provider is named in the imprint.
2. Your account
An account is for one person. Keep your password and, if you use one, your second factor to yourself, and tell us through the support form if you think someone else has access. You must be old enough to enter into a contract, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Your photos
Your photos and edits stay yours. You give us only the right we need to provide the service to you: to store them, to process them and to show them to you. We do not use them for advertising, we do not train models on them, and we do not look at them unless you ask us to through support. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, including the consent of people shown where the law requires it. You may not upload content that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others.
4. Free and paid use
The web editor can be used free of charge for a limited number of photos. Where a paid plan or an add-on is offered, its price, term, renewal and how to cancel are shown before you buy, and the terms shown there apply in addition to these.
5. Availability
We work to keep editr available and your data safe, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, extend or remove functions when there is a good reason, for example security, law or further development. Keep your own copy of photos that matter to you.
6. Deleting, removing and ending
You can delete single projects and your whole account at any time in the editor; deletion takes effect at once. We may remove content and block or close an account when these terms are broken or after a justified complaint from a rights holder or an authority. Where it is reasonable we tell you first. Rights holders and authorities reach us through the support form or the address in the imprint.
7. Liability
We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, and where the law does not allow a limit. For slight negligence we are liable only when a duty is breached that is essential to the contract, and then only for the damage that is typical and foreseeable. The free service is provided without a warranty beyond what the law requires.
8. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms for the future when there is a good reason. We tell you about a change in good time by email or in the editor. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before the change takes effect.
9. Applicable law
German law applies. If you are a consumer living in another country of the European Union, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country remain in force.
